A spy camera was discovered in the Ghaziabad women's restroom; a priest was notified

A disturbing incident unfolded near the Ganga canal in Muradnagar, Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, where a hidden camera was discovered in the women's changing room. The shocking revelation came to light when a woman and her daughter stumbled upon the camera while changing clothes. The changing room, situated close to a temple frequented by devotees after bathing in the canal, became the center of attention following this unsettling discovery.

Prompt action ensued as the woman promptly reported the incident to the authorities, resulting in the registration of a First Information Report (FIR). Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dehat) Vivek Chand Yadav disclosed that Mukesh Goswami, a priest associated with the temple, is allegedly implicated in the installation of the cameras within the changing room.

Upon investigation, it was revealed that a CCTV camera had been discreetly installed, with its display intricately linked to the priest's mobile phone. This shocking revelation underscores the invasion of privacy and the reprehensible misuse of technology for illicit purposes.

Adding to the gravity of the situation, it was disclosed that Mukesh Goswami, who has a history of four prior cases, is presently evading law enforcement authorities. Consequently, efforts to locate and apprehend him are underway.

In response to the FIR, the police have initiated measures to dismantle encroachments at the site, including the demolition of the compromised changing room. Authorities have pledged a comprehensive investigation into the matter, vowing to mete out stringent repercussions to all responsible parties.

Legal actions have been taken against the accused priest under pertinent sections of the Indian Penal Code, including sections 354 (criminal assault on a woman), 354 C (capturing images of women engaged in private activities), 504 (intentional insult), and 506 (criminal intimidation). These measures underscore the gravity of the offense and the commitment of law enforcement to uphold justice and ensure the safety and dignity of all individuals.
