AAP leader on Raghav Chadha: May have undergone surgery in the UK and lost his sight

Amid ongoing speculation surrounding AAP leader Raghav Chadha's prolonged absence from the political scene, Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj revealed that Chadha underwent significant eye surgery in the UK. According to Bharadwaj, Chadha's condition was critical, and there was a risk of him losing his eyesight.

Bharadwaj stated, "There was a complication in his eyes, and I was told that it was quite critical that he might have lost his eyesight as well. He has undergone major eye surgery in the UK." He further added that Chadha would return to India and resume election campaigning once he recovers.

Chadha has been in London since March 8, and his absence has been notable, especially during a time when AAP has been dealing with a political upheaval following Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's arrest in the liquor policy case.

The last activity seen from Chadha on social media was on April 28 when he retweeted a video of Arvind Kejriwal's wife, Sunita Kejriwal, holding a roadshow in West Delhi.

Earlier, the BJP criticized Chadha for meeting controversial UK Parliamentarian Preet Kaur Gill, accusing her of advocating for Khalistani separatism and mobilizing funds for Khalistanis. This criticism coincided with Chadha's stay in London, purportedly for eye surgery.

Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar also questioned Chadha's "intriguing absence" amid the ongoing political environment.

Amidst this speculation, Delhi minister Atishi earlier claimed that four other AAP leaders, including Raghav Chadha, would face arrest by the ED within the next two months.
