According to sources, an Air India flight bound for Bengaluru from Delhi had to make an emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Friday. The flight, numbered AI 807 and carrying 175 passengers, had departed from Delhi at approximately 6 pm. However, it was forced to turn back and land in Delhi after encountering a fire in its air conditioning unit. Fortunately, there were no reported casualties.
The flight, which had departed at around 6 pm on Friday, made its return to the IGI Airport at 6:38 pm, as per sources.
In a separate incident reported by news agency ANI, an Air India flight bound for Delhi experienced a collision with a tug truck while taxiing towards the runway for takeoff at Pune Airport on Thursday. The aircraft, carrying approximately 180 passengers, suffered damage to its nose and a tire near the landing gear. Despite the collision, no injuries were reported among passengers or crew, with all individuals reported to be safe, according to an airport official cited by ANI.
