Arvind Kejriwal may run, but the alcohol scam will stick in people's memories: Amit Chauhan

Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized that while Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been granted interim bail to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections, people will not forget the liquor scam associated with him. Shah highlighted that Kejriwal's bail is temporary, and he will have to surrender after June 1.

In an exclusive conversation with India Today TV, Shah reiterated that wherever Kejriwal campaigns, the public will be reminded of the liquor scam. He emphasized that the temporary bail does not erase the memory of the scandal.

Shah's remarks come after Kejriwal's release from Tihar Jail, following the Supreme Court's decision to grant him interim bail for election campaigning.

Regarding the Sandeshkhali incident in West Bengal, Shah condemned the alleged torture of women for political gain based on their religion. He criticized the lack of action from the state's chief minister in addressing such atrocities. Responding to the Trinamool Congress's allegations that the rape accusations in Sandeshkhali were fabricated, Shah questioned the credibility of such claims, citing ongoing investigations by the Central Bureau of Investigation and the involvement of the High Court.
