Bengal Governor, who is charged with molestation, will present the public a CCTV film rather than the police

West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose, who has been accused of molestation by a former employee of Raj Bhavan, has announced a unique initiative called 'SACH KE SAAMNE' to address the allegations. Under this program, the related CCTV footage will be made available for public viewing, except to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her police force.

The decision was communicated through a statement released by Raj Bhavan, which criticized the police's handling of the matter and their request for CCTV footage. Governor Bose emphasized his refusal to cooperate with the police, directing his staff not to share the footage.

The statement clarified that while any citizen of West Bengal could access the CCTV footage, politicians like Mamata Banerjee and her police force were exempted due to their perceived bias and actions in the case.

To facilitate public access, the Governor's office provided email IDs and contact numbers for citizens to apply and view the CCTV footage.

The controversy emerged when a female employee of Raj Bhavan accused Governor Bose of molestation, prompting an inquiry by the Kolkata Police. Denying the allegations, Bose condemned the incident as a political ploy and criticized Mamata Banerjee's involvement.

Despite the ongoing police investigation, it's noteworthy that under Article 361 of the Constitution, criminal proceedings cannot be initiated against a sitting Governor.
