CBI sources link the teen's grandfather to Chhota Rajan in the Pune Porsche crash

The family background of the 17-year-old involved in the tragic incident in Pune reveals a connection to the underworld. Surendra Kumar Agarwal, the boy's grandfather, is reportedly embroiled in a legal battle over a shootout case, allegedly involving payments to gangster Chhota Rajan.

The incident dates back to a property dispute between Surendra Kumar Agarwal and his brother, RK Agarwal. This dispute reportedly escalated to the point where SK Agarwal collaborated with Chhota Rajan's criminal network. The case involves an attempt on the life of Ajay Bhosale, a friend of RK Agarwal, which resulted in injuries to Bhosale's driver.

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sources reveal that SK Agarwal traveled to Bangkok to meet with Chhota Rajan's associate to settle the property dispute. Consequently, SK Agarwal has been implicated in a case of conspiracy to commit murder alongside Chhota Rajan.

Despite the gravity of the charges and the involvement of organized crime elements, such as Chhota Rajan, it is surprising that the Pune police did not invoke the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in this case. Investigators suspect intentional lapses in the initial investigation by the Pune police.

The case against SK Agarwal involves various charges under the Indian Penal Code, including criminal conspiracy, attempted murder, and violations of the Arms Act. However, SK Agarwal has not been arrested as of now and is out on bail. The trial proceedings are ongoing, with key witnesses presenting evidence in court.

The revelations about the family's underworld connections shed light on the complexities surrounding the tragic incident in Pune involving the teenager and underline the need for a thorough investigation into the matter.
