Congresswoman calls out "mealy-mouthed, spineless leaders" at US institutions

The Republican-led US House of Representatives has launched an inquiry into universities where pro-Palestinian protests have persisted, raising concerns about antisemitism and campus safety. The investigation aims to scrutinize the universities' receipt of federal funding and assess their handling of the protests.

This development comes in response to recent events, including mass arrests at Columbia University and widespread demonstrations across campuses nationwide. Jewish students have expressed feeling targeted amid the protests, leading to calls for increased protection and support from university administrations.

The initiative represents a significant response to the escalating pro-Palestine activism, which has emerged as one of the most prominent student movements since the anti-racism protests of 2020.
