Cricket was killed by Trump's prospective running mate. She now wants to kill Biden's dog

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has been under scrutiny for a passage in her recent book where she recounts euthanizing her dog, Cricket, due to its aggressive behavior. In a recent interview on CBS’ Face the Nation, Noem suggested that President Biden should consider a similar course of action with his dog, Commander, who reportedly attacked 24 Secret Service personnel.

In her book, "No Going Back: The Truth on What's Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward," Noem details her decision to put down Cricket, a 14-month-old dog, because of its aggressive tendencies. She also mentioned that if she were to visit the White House, she would introduce her dog to President Biden's dog, Commander.

President Biden's German shepherd, Commander, was removed from the White House following reports of biting incidents involving Secret Service staff. Commander has since been relocated to an undisclosed location.

During her appearance on "Face the Nation," Noem questioned the President's responsibility for his dog's actions, prompting discussions about the threshold for taking action in such situations.

Noem has defended her decision to euthanize Cricket, emphasizing that she was prioritizing the safety of her children. She reiterated this stance in a subsequent interview with CBS, stating that she takes full responsibility for her actions.

Despite facing criticism over the story in her book, Noem has maintained that she shared her truthful experiences and believes the narrative has been unfairly politicized throughout her career.
