Denmark's diplomat to India, Freddy Svane, expressed gratitude towards the New Delhi Municipal Council for cleaning up the area outside the embassy building. In a video shared on X, Svane was seen standing alongside the civic body staff, commending them for their efforts.
In the video, Svane greeted everyone and acknowledged the transformation of the previously littered area, now clean thanks to the hard work of the NDMC staff. He personally thanked each individual for their contribution to the cleanup effort.
Earlier, Svane had posted another video on X, highlighting the presence of a garbage dump outside the embassy building and expressing hope for prompt action. In this video, he humorously remarked, "Welcome to great, green, and trashy New Delhi," while showcasing the littered road.
In his posts, Svane tagged the official X account of the Royal Danish Embassy in India, as well as the Delhi Chief Minister’s Office and the Delhi Lieutenant Governor.
Following Svane's social media activism, the civic body swiftly responded, mobilizing to clean up the area within hours of his post. The prompt action taken by the NDMC reflects their commitment to cleanliness and responsiveness to public concerns.
