Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an exclusive interview with India Today TV, expressed confidence in the BJP-led NDA's victory in the Lok Sabha elections, stating that the target of winning 400 seats was becoming a reality rather than just a slogan. He commended women, young voters, and first-time voters for their active participation in the electoral process.
Responding to the opposition's skepticism regarding the NDA's chances of winning 400 seats, PM Modi took a dig at the Congress leadership, particularly citing instances of Sonia Gandhi's election to the Rajya Sabha and Rahul Gandhi's decision not to contest from Amethi. He accused the opposition of being more focused on serving their family interests rather than the nation.
PM Modi also addressed various issues during the interview, including inflation, development, employment, the Ram Temple, and the armed forces. He criticized the Congress for its handling of inflation during their tenure and accused them of weakening the armed forces. He also accused the Congress of opposing the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya for the sake of vote bank politics.
Regarding the allegation that the BJP would change the Constitution if it won 400 seats, PM Modi rejected the notion and accused the Congress of betraying the Constitution in the past. He emphasized the BJP's commitment to quota-based reservation for SCs, STs, and OBCs, emphasizing that it would never be based on religion.
