In the sex tapes case, Prajwal Revanna is the subject of a global watch list

A lookout notice has been issued against Prajwal Revanna in connection with the obscene videos case, as the Special Investigation Team (SIT) intensifies its probe into the allegations. Prajwal Revanna, a Lok Sabha candidate from the JD(S), is reported to have fled to Frankfurt, Germany, amid the investigation into the explicit videos and photographs depicting him engaging in sexual abuse.

The lookout notice, issued at all immigration points worldwide, aims to prevent Prajwal Revanna from leaving Germany and ensures his availability for questioning by the SIT. Prajwal, the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and son of former minister HD Revanna, is seeking re-election from Hassan on the JD(S) ticket.

The controversy surrounding Prajwal Revanna erupted when a significant amount of explicit material surfaced on social media, leading to serious allegations of sexual assault against him. Amid mounting pressure, Prajwal Revanna has requested seven days to appear before the SIT for questioning, as he currently remains outside Bengaluru.

The case has also taken a legal turn, with Prajwal Revanna and his father HD Revanna facing additional charges based on a complaint filed by their former cook and relative. The complaint accuses them of sexual harassment, alleging that Prajwal made objectionable video calls to her daughter, prompting her to block him.

In response to the escalating scandal, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah took a dig at Union Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks, where Shah asserted the BJP's stance against individuals involved in crimes against women. The case continues to draw attention and underscores the significance of thorough investigations and legal proceedings to address such serious allegations.
