Prajwal Revanna, Deve Gowda's grandson, was prepared and transferred overseas by Siddaramaiah

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has accused former Prime Minister and JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda of orchestrating his grandson Prajwal Revanna's departure to Germany. This allegation surfaced in the midst of a scandal involving sex videos allegedly recorded by the suspended JD(S) leader.

Revanna, who is contesting as the JD(S)-BJP alliance candidate from Hassan, left for Germany shortly before the Karnataka government announced the formation of a special probe team to investigate the obscene videos case.

Siddaramaiah raised questions about Revanna's ability to leave the country without the knowledge of the central government, suggesting that Deve Gowda had a hand in planning and facilitating his grandson's departure.

Furthermore, Siddaramaiah wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging the cancellation of Revanna's diplomatic passport and his swift return to face legal consequences.

In response to these developments, a Special Investigation Team has been tasked with probing the allegations against several women. Siddaramaiah emphasized the urgency of Revanna's return, alleging that he fled the country upon sensing the impending police case and potential arrest.

The scandal erupted when flash drives containing thousands of videos, purportedly recorded by Revanna himself, were distributed across his constituency ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. BJP leader G Devaraje Gowda claimed to have obtained access to these videos through Revanna's former driver, sparking a political uproar.

Contrary to claims by HD Kumaraswamy, who suggested that the videos were leaked by DK Shivakumar, Siddaramaiah asserted that Shivakumar had no involvement in the case. He questioned the release of the videos and the individuals to whom the pen drive containing the footage was handed over, disputing Kumaraswamy's assertions.
