Rahul Gandhi agrees to participate in a polling debate: If and when the PM consents

Rahul Gandhi has officially accepted the invitation for a public debate on the Lok Sabha polls, extended by former Supreme Court judge Madan B Lokur, former High Court Chief Justice AP Shah, and senior journalist N Ram. In his response, Rahul Gandhi expressed his willingness to participate in the debate either himself or through Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.

He acknowledged the importance of such a debate in helping voters understand the vision of the parties involved and make informed choices. Rahul Gandhi emphasized the need to address any unsubstantiated allegations attributed to their respective parties.

However, he noted that the details and format of the debate could be discussed only if and when Prime Minister Narendra Modi agrees to participate. This response sets the stage for a potential high-profile debate ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
