Rahul Gandhi has once again taken a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, suggesting that he was sent by a higher power not to serve the poor but to benefit industrialists like Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani. This comment came during an election rally in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, where Gandhi criticized the Prime Minister for his alleged allegiance to big businesses rather than addressing the needs of farmers and laborers.
Gandhi's remark was in response to PM Modi's recent interview where he reportedly stated that he believed he was not born biologically but was sent by God for a purpose. PM Modi attributed his strength and abilities to this divine mission.
The Congress leader questioned the nature of this divine mission, suggesting that if PM Modi truly believed he was sent by God, he should be serving the poor and farmers rather than promoting the interests of wealthy individuals.
During the rally, Gandhi also spoke about the INDIA bloc government's plans to abolish the 50 per cent cap on reservation and protect the Constitution. He emphasized the alliance's commitment to safeguarding the Constitution with utmost dedication.
Additionally, Gandhi promised to dismantle and discard the Angiveer scheme personally once the INDIA bloc forms the government at the Centre, highlighting his party's stance on certain government initiatives.
