Soldiers clash with police in Jammu and Kashmir; three lieutenants are charged

Prajwal Revanna, the Janata Dal (Secular) MP embroiled in allegations of sexual assault, has reportedly commenced his journey back to India from Germany, where he sought refuge after purported sex tapes involving him emerged. Sources indicate that he boarded a flight from Munich bound for Bengaluru.

India Today TV has obtained Prajwal's boarding pass from Munich airport to Bengaluru, indicating his departure at 11:20 am (local time). His expected arrival in Bengaluru is in the early hours of May 31.

Prajwal, who also serves as the NDA candidate from the Hassan Lok Sabha seat, had departed the country in April amidst the circulation of explicit video clips purportedly showing him engaged in sexual misconduct with multiple women. Hassan underwent polling in the second phase on April 26.

As per reports, two rape cases have been lodged against Prajwal thus far. In a recent development, the JD(S) MP released a video statement, asserting his intention to appear before the probe team on May 31 and extend full cooperation with the investigation. He vehemently denied the allegations, labeling them as baseless.

In his video message, Prajwal disclosed undergoing a period of "depression and isolation" following the eruption of the scandal, attributing his distress to alleged political machinations in Hassan. He claimed that senior Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, orchestrated a campaign against him, compelling him to retreat from public life.

This statement from Prajwal emerged in the wake of a letter penned by his grandfather and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, urging him to return to India and confront the ongoing investigation.
