Airport security officials at Miami International Airport had an unexpected encounter on April 26, 2024, when they discovered a passenger attempting to smuggle a bag of snakes concealed in his pants. The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) reported the incident on social media, sharing images of two small white snakes recovered from the passenger's bag.
Upon detecting the snakes during a routine checkpoint screening, TSA officers promptly called for assistance from their partners at the Miami-Dade Police and the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Subsequently, the snakes were turned over to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for further handling.
