A former Karnataka minister, HD Revanna, finds himself embroiled in a kidnapping case following allegations made by a 20-year-old individual, Raju HD. Raju has accused an associate of the JD(S) MLA of abducting his mother, who, along with Raju, had been employed as domestic help at Revanna's farmhouse in Holenarasipura.
The woman in question is among the individuals purportedly depicted in alleged sex tapes involving HD Revanna's son and Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna. As a result, the police have initiated legal proceedings against Revanna and a certain Satish Babanna under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, including charges related to kidnapping. HD Revanna has sought anticipatory bail in response to the allegations.
Additionally, both Revanna and his son face accusations of sexual harassment, as per the complaint filed by another former maid in their household.
The crux of the kidnapping case revolves around a complaint filed by Raju HD at the KR Nagar Police Station in Mysuru district. Raju alleges that his mother disappeared on April 29, and subsequently, videos purportedly depicting her being sexually harassed began circulating on social media.
According to Raju's account, he and his mother had worked at Revanna's residence and farmhouse for six years, before his mother ceased employment three years prior. Raju recounts an incident around April 26, wherein a person known to them, identified as Satish, purportedly visited their residence and claimed that Revanna's wife Bhavani required Raju's mother for some task. Subsequently, Satish allegedly returned on April 29, forcibly taking Raju's mother away, citing orders from Revanna.
Distressed by his mother's disappearance and the distressing content of the viral video, Raju asserts that he reached out to Satish for information. However, he claims to have received evasive responses, leading him to suspect foul play and prompting him to seek police intervention.
Raju expresses grave concerns for his mother's safety and implores authorities to take necessary action to locate her and address the situation under the law.
