In a distressing incident that has shocked Karnataka's Kalaburagi district, three car dealers fell victim to a harrowing ordeal of kidnapping and torture, including electric shock administered to their private parts. Videos depicting the gruesome torture, which went viral on social media, captured the perpetrators administering electric shocks to the victims while they were naked.
Responding swiftly to the heinous crime, law enforcement authorities apprehended seven individuals on Saturday in connection with the brutal torture inflicted upon the three men.
"Videos depicting males being assaulted and rendered nude are circulating in Kalaburgi city. In response, an FIR was lodged on May 5, leading to the arrest of seven suspects," confirmed police sources.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Imran Patel, Mohammad Matheen alias Steel Matheen, Mohammad Zia Ul Hussain, Mohammad Afzal Sheik, Hussain Sheik, Ramesh, and Sagar, all believed to be part of a larger criminal network, prompting a continued police effort to apprehend the remaining culprits.
According to the victim's account, they lodged a complaint with the police on May 5, reporting their abduction on May 4 under the guise of inspecting a second-hand car presented by the accused.
Held captive in a secluded location, the victims endured physical assault with sticks and coercion for monetary gain. The perpetrators escalated their torment by demanding additional funds from the victims.
Police have launched a comprehensive investigation into the shocking incident, striving to bring all those involved to justice.
