Three people were hurt by a knife attack at the Poonch National Conference rally

Three individuals were injured in a knife attack during a roadshow by the National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on Sunday. The attack occurred in the Mendhar area while National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah and Mian Altaf Rajouri, the party candidate from Anantnag, were addressing a public meeting.

The victims of the knife attack were National Conference workers. They were swiftly taken to the sub-district hospital in Mendhar for initial treatment. Due to the severity of their injuries, two of the injured men were subsequently referred to the Government Medical College in Rajouri.

Former National Conference MLA Javed Rana condemned the incident, highlighting it as a significant security lapse. Rana demanded immediate action from the police to apprehend the attackers and ensure they face appropriate consequences.
