Two of the three people killed in the Ohio shooting remain in critical condition

Early on Saturday morning, a tragic shooting occurred in the Italian Village neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio, resulting in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to three others. Columbus police received reports of the incident shortly before 3 a.m., which involved what appeared to be semi-automatic or automatic gunfire and vehicles fleeing the scene.

Deputy Chief Gregory Bodker described the scene as "very chaotic" when officers arrived just two minutes after the shooting was reported. The victims, all male, were identified as 27-year-old Malachi Pee, 26-year-old Garcia Dixon Jr., and 18-year-old Da’ondre Bullock. Pee and Dixon were pronounced dead at the scene, while Bullock succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.

The three wounded individuals were transported to hospitals, with one in critical condition and the other two in stable condition. All are expected to survive.

Police are currently interviewing several witnesses who are cooperating with the investigation. It is unclear whether any of the individuals involved had been patrons of a nearby bar. Authorities have not yet identified any suspects or determined the motive behind the shooting, and it remains uncertain how many people were involved.

The Franklin County sheriff’s office is utilizing a drone to document the extensive crime scene, and police are collecting evidence and reviewing video footage to piece together what happened.
