A man and three of his friends have been apprehended in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on suspicion of murdering the man's father. The tragic incident unfolded on May 4 when the charred remains of the man were discovered inside a burnt box.
According to law enforcement officials, the motive behind the killing stemmed from the father's disapproval of his son's homosexuality. Allegedly, the father stumbled upon his son and his companion in a compromising situation, leading to confrontations between them on multiple occasions.
As tensions escalated, the quartet reportedly restrained the father, fatally stabbing him before concealing his body inside a box. Subsequently, they disposed of the box by setting it ablaze on Aligarh road once it began emitting a putrid odor, approximately 24 hours later.
Authorities managed to identify the suspects through surveillance camera footage. Following a confrontation with the police, two individuals were apprehended, while the remaining two were arrested subsequently.
