US Police call Goldy Brar's murder allegations inaccurate

The US Police have refuted reports suggesting that Goldy Brar, the individual linked to Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala's murder, was shot dead in California. Responding to queries regarding Goldy Brar's alleged demise, the police clarified that such reports were inaccurate.

According to the Fresno Police Department's statement, the victim of the incident was identified as 37-year-old Xavier Gladney, who was found with a gunshot wound on April 30, 2024. Despite being rushed to CRMC, Gladney was pronounced dead. Additionally, a thirteen-year-old juvenile, who was present at the scene, sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was also taken to CRMC.

The police department further identified 33-year-old Darren Williams as the suspect responsible for Gladney's murder, issuing a warrant for his arrest on charges of murder and assault with a deadly weapon. The motive behind the shooting was stated to be a gang-related interpersonal dispute.

Following the incident, social media speculation arose, linking the deceased individual to Goldy Brar, a Canada-based gangster wanted under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Goldy Brar had gained notoriety after claiming responsibility for the murder of singer Sidhu Moose Wala through a Facebook post. Sidhu Moose Wala was fatally shot in his car near his village in Punjab's Mansa district on May 29, 2022.
