Watch list for HD Revanna, investigation into the sex recordings case gets more intense

The situation surrounding NDA's Lok Sabha candidate for Hassan constituency, Prajwal Revanna, and his father, HD Revanna, has escalated as explicit video clips allegedly depicting Prajwal engaging in sexual abuse have surfaced in Hassan. Consequently, a special team has been constituted by the state government to investigate these disturbing allegations against the Member of Parliament.

Amidst mounting concerns, a lookout notice has been issued against HD Revanna to prevent his potential escape from the country. Additionally, a significant number of citizens, reportedly 700, have penned an open letter to the National Commission for Women (NCW), urging stringent action against both Prajwal and HD Revanna in connection with the sexual misconduct allegations. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) assigned to the case is expected to conduct inquiries at Revanna's residence in Holenarasipur, Karnataka.

In the latest developments, the SIT has intensified its investigations into a kidnapping case linked to HD Revanna, prompted by a complaint from a 20-year-old individual alleging that the MLA's associate abducted his mother. The probe has extended to more than 50 locations in connection with this case.

Former Mandya MP and BJP leader, LR Shivarame Gowda, has made damning accusations against HD Revanna, alleging his involvement in past criminal activities, including a purported incident during their visit to England three decades ago. Amidst mounting pressure, the police have seized the mobile phone of Sathish, a close aide of Revanna, in an effort to gather crucial evidence.

Furthermore, the SIT has bolstered its manpower by appointing additional officials to aid in the investigation of the sex tapes case, underscoring the government's commitment to unraveling the truth. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has intervened by writing to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, urging support for the victims involved in the scandal.

Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has affirmed his commitment to upholding justice for the victims and ensuring a fair legal process. An emergency meeting was convened with top law enforcement officials and the SIT to address the pressing concerns surrounding the case.

As the investigation progresses, the SIT has commenced visits to the residences of HD Revanna and Prajwal Revanna, accompanied by legal representatives of the Revanna family. Interactions with the affected women and visits to locations pertinent to the alleged crimes are anticipated as part of the ongoing inquiry.
