A 3.9-magnitude earthquake strikes the Sikar district of Rajasthan



Late Saturday night, Rajasthan's Sikar district experienced an earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake occurred at 11:47 pm on Saturday, with a depth of five kilometers, at 27.41 N latitude and 75.06 E longitude.

Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or damages so far.

The National Center for Seismology, responsible for monitoring earthquake activity in the country under the Earth Sciences ministry, provided the details in a post on the microblogging site X.

This incident follows a similar occurrence in April this year when an earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter Scale struck the Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported after that earthquake.
