A prisoner at Tihar Jail was hurt when a needle stuck him during a fight

A scuffle broke out between prisoners at the OPD (outpatient department) of Tihar Jail Hospital on Wednesday morning. Around 10:45 am, prisoners went to see the doctors at the jail's OPD. Among them were prisoners named Hitesh, Gaurav, and Gurinder, who were standing in line and waiting for their turn.

Suddenly, an argument erupted between two prisoners, which quickly escalated into a brawl. Allegedly, Gaurav and Gurinder assaulted Hitesh with a needle, causing injuries.

A security official stationed at the gate of the hospital intervened promptly, saving Hitesh from further harm and taking the other two inmates into custody. Hitesh was then shifted to the hospital for treatment.

A case has been registered at the Hari Nagar police station, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause and details of the incident.
