A Mumbai-bound Vistara flight, UK 024, carrying 306 passengers and crew members, landed in Mumbai on Sunday amid a full emergency imposed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. According to reports citing a source, the aircraft received a handwritten note on an airsickness bag threatening a bomb during the flight from Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris.
The full emergency was declared at Mumbai airport at 10.08 am, and the flight landed safely at 10.19 am. Among the passengers, there were 294 individuals, along with 12 crew members.
Vistara issued a statement acknowledging a security concern noted by their staff onboard the flight and confirmed cooperation with security agencies for mandatory checks.
This incident follows a similar bomb threat received by a Delhi-Srinagar Vistara flight last Friday, which landed safely in Srinagar. Additionally, an IndiGo flight heading to Varanasi from Delhi also faced a bomb threat last week. These incidents coincide with a series of bomb threat emails sent to various establishments across the country, all of which were later deemed fake after thorough inspections.
