Narendra Modi took the oath as the Prime Minister of India for the third consecutive term on Sunday. President Droupadi Murmu then administered the oath to Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, and Nitin Gadkari. Here is the full list of ministers who were sworn in on Sunday to be part of the Modi 3.0 ministry.
BJP leader Narendra Modi was sworn in as the Prime Minister of India for the third consecutive term on Sunday. This is historic as no Prime Minister other than Jawaharlal Nehru, the first PM of Independent India, has returned for a third term. On this significant day, a total of 72 leaders were sworn in to be part of the Modi 3.0 ministry.
The new Cabinet includes 30 Cabinet ministers, five Ministers of State with Independent Charge, and 36 Ministers of State.

**Cabinet Ministers:**
- Rajnath Singh, who held the Union Defence Minister's post in the previous government, was sworn in.
- Amit Shah, who was the Union Home Minister in the Modi 2.0, was inducted into the new government.
- Nitin Gadkari, who held the post of Union Minister of Road and Transport, was part of the newly formed NDA government.
- JP Nadda, who is the BJP national chief, was the new entrant to the Narendra Modi-led Cabinet.
- Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, has been given a Cabinet berth.
- Nirmala Sitharaman, who held the Finance portfolio previously, is part of the new government.
- Dr. S Jaishankar, who was the External Affairs Minister, is part of Modi 3.0.
- Manohar Lal Khattar, who quit as Haryana Chief Minister in March, was given a Cabinet post.
- HD Kumaraswamy, chief of JD(S), was sworn in as Union Minister in the PM Modi-led NDA government.
- Piyush Goyal, who secured his first Lok Sabha term after defeating a Congress candidate, was sworn in as Union Minister.

- Jitan Ram Manjhi, founder of Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), took oath as a Union Cabinet Minister.

- Kiren Rijiju, who has been one of the key ministers in the Narendra Modi cabinet since the BJP came into power in 2014, took oath today.
- Mansukh Mandaviya, who held the post of Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare in the previous regime, took oath on Sunday.
- Hardeep Singh Puri, who has been a Rajya Sabha member since 2018, was sworn in as Union Minister.

- Rao Inderjit Singh, who is a six-term MP, took oath as Union Minister of State (Independent Charge).
- Jitendra Singh, Udhampur MP, was sworn in as MoS (Independent Charge).
- Arjun Ram Meghwal, Bikaner MP, took oath as MoS (Independent Charge).
- Prataprao Jadhav, Shiv Sena leader from the Eknath Shinde faction, was included in Modi 3.0.
- Jayant Chaudhary, whose party RLD allied with NDA before polls, was given MoS (Independent Charge).

- Jitin Prasada, who joined BJP in 2021 before the 2022 UP assembly polls, was inducted as MoS.

- Krishan Pal Gurjar, who won from Faridabad, is part of Modi 3.0.
- Ramdas Athawale, Republican Party of India chief, was sworn in as Union Minister.

- Murlidhar Mohol, former Pune Mayor, is also a part of the Modi Cabinet.
- George Kurian, state general secretary of the BJP's Kerala unit, took oath as Union Minister.
- Pabitra Margherita, Rajya Sabha MP from Assam, was sworn in as Union Minister in the PM Modi-led Cabinet.
Narendra Modi returned as the Prime Minister as the NDA won 293 of the 543 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha election. The BJP, however, fell short of the majority mark in the Lok Sabha on its own, winning 240 seats. The majority mark in the Lok Sabha is 272.
