CCTV footage revealed the presence of Darshan Thoogudeepa’s red Jeep at the murder site, following another vehicle used in the crime. The Jeep was reportedly used to transport Renukaswamy's body.

On Wednesday, the police took the accused to the scene where the body had been discarded to recreate the crime scenario. Details indicate that the accused were brought to the location where Renukaswamy's body was dumped, though actor Darshan was not among those taken to the site.

Commenting on the incident, Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara confirmed that 13 individuals have been arrested in connection with the case. He emphasized that the law applies equally to everyone and that those found guilty would face punishment.

Darshan was remanded to six days in police custody following his arrest for his purported involvement in the murder. He was also presented before a Bengaluru Magistrate's court. According to police sources, after the alleged killing at a shed in Pattanagere, supposedly owned by one of Darshan’s associates, Renukaswamy’s body was dumped in a nearby stormwater drain.

The victim, Renukaswamy, who worked for a pharmaceutical company and hailed from Chitradurga, had allegedly posted derogatory comments about Gowda on social media. The incident came to light when residents reported the body to the police. An autopsy and forensic report later confirmed that Renukaswamy had been murdered, leading to the arrest of eleven suspects during the ongoing investigation.
