Darshan and Chikkanna, actors, will be brought to a pub in Bengaluru to act out a crime scenario

The police team investigating the highly publicized Renukaswamy homicide case plans to conduct an inquiry at a private club in Bengaluru, where popular Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and other suspects reportedly gathered while the victim was brought into the city, officials disclosed on Monday.

The establishment in question is owned by Vinay, who is implicated in the case and is a close associate of Darshan.

Additionally, Bengaluru Police have summoned another Kannada actor, Chikkanna, for questioning in connection with the incident.

To date, law enforcement has apprehended 19 individuals, including Darshan and his alleged accomplice Pavithra Gowda, on charges related to Renukaswamy's murder.

Chikkanna, aged 37 and known for his comedic roles, was allegedly in the company of Darshan on the night of June 8, when the crime took place. It is suspected that Chikkanna accompanied Darshan before the latter proceeded to the location where Renukaswamy was reportedly confined and subjected to torture.

An official from India Today TV indicated that Darshan, Chikkanna, and Vinay will be escorted to the private club to reenact the sequence of events as part of the ongoing investigation.

Authorities suspect that following the confinement of Renukaswamy in the warehouse, the accused returned to the club to strategize their next course of action.

The police inquiry into Renukaswamy's murder has intensified, with efforts focused on locating two missing mobile phones linked to the case. One of these phones belonged to the victim herself, while the other was in possession of another suspect. It is believed that these phones were discarded in a drain near Summanahalli, where Renukaswamy's body was found, in an attempt to destroy crucial evidence.

Currently, authorities are conducting a thorough search of the drain in hopes of recovering the mobile phones, which are deemed vital pieces of evidence in the investigation.

According to police reports, Renukaswamy, a fan, allegedly sent some inappropriate messages to Darshan's purported partner, Pavithra Gowda, via social media. This purportedly angered the 47-year-old actor.

Meanwhile, Karnataka's Home Minister G Parameshwara has emphasized that there will be no leniency in the handling of the investigation into the Renukaswamy murder case.
