Days after the twins' birth, a Delhi guy kills them; the woman claims she was not aware of it

In a deeply distressing incident of female infanticide in New Delhi, two newborn twins were reportedly killed and buried by their father and his family due to their dissatisfaction with the birth of girls.

The father allegedly took the newborns and committed the act of killing them.

Upon receiving a formal complaint, the Delhi Police promptly took action and, pursuant to judicial orders, had the bodies of the infants unearthed.

The bodies were subsequently transported to the mortuary at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital for a thorough post-mortem examination.

The police have indicated that the exact cause of death will be determined upon receipt of the autopsy report.

Following these events, the Delhi Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) and apprehended the infant's grandfather. However, the father remains at large.

According to the FIR filed, the woman named Pooja Solanki recently gave birth to twin girls.

On June 1, after Pooja was discharged from the hospital along with her babies, she expressed a desire to visit her maternal home in Rohtak. However, her husband, Neeraj Solanki, took the babies in his car and instructed her to follow in another vehicle. At some point during the journey, Neeraj altered his course.

Despite attempts by Pooja's brother to reach Neeraj by phone, the calls went unanswered.

Subsequently, Pooja's brother discovered that Neeraj's family had buried the infants.

Pooja had married Neeraj in 2022. As detailed in the FIR, Pooja alleged that her in-laws had subjected her to harassment over dowry issues.
