Fight between a liquor store and a wiper over the latter's unwillingness to service customers after closing

Three staffers at a liquor shop in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, were brutally beaten by a group of men for refusing to serve alcohol after closing hours. The incident, which occurred on the night of June 23, was captured on CCTV footage, revealing the violent attack.

The footage shows a group of at least five men attacking three staffers of the shop. Initially, the staffers are seen emerging from inside the shop with its shutters down. As they come out, they are met with immediate violence. Three men start beating up one of the staffers, while the other two try to de-escalate the situation, only to get thrashed themselves. In a bid to defend themselves, the staffers retreat inside the shop.

Two of the staffers then come back out armed with a wiper and a frying pan, attempting to fend off the attackers. However, their efforts are in vain as the attackers snatch the wiper and use it against them. The chaos intensifies, with the third staffer retreating back inside the shop and closing the door for safety.

One staffer, who appears to be the main target, continues to be beaten by the group. The violence escalates as one of the attackers picks up a rock from the street and hurls it at the staffer. The video concludes with the staffer bleeding from his forehead.

Reports indicate that the group of attackers comprised around a dozen men. Following the incident, the shop owner filed a First Information Report (FIR) with the police. Authorities have launched a search to apprehend the suspects, using the CCTV footage for identification and evidence.
