Following a technical issue, a British Airways flight headed for Delhi returns to London

A Delhi-bound British Airways flight was forced to return to London on Tuesday due to a minor technical issue, according to a statement from the airline. The aircraft, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner (ICAG.L BA.N), landed safely at Heathrow Airport, and all passengers disembarked as normal.

This incident follows concerns raised earlier this year about the structural integrity of Boeing's 787 Dreamliner. In April, a whistleblower alleged that the aircraft had structural flaws that could potentially lead to it breaking apart mid-flight. This prompted the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to launch an investigation into these claims. Boeing has strongly denied the allegations, asserting that they are "fully confident" in the 787's safety, supported by comprehensive testing.

In parallel, the US air safety authorities have been investigating whether Boeing completed the required inspections on its 787 aircraft and if any employees falsified records. This scrutiny comes in the wake of various issues that have plagued Boeing, affecting its reputation and operations.

In a related incident, an Air Canada flight from Toronto to Paris encountered a severe issue recently. The Boeing 777 jet, carrying 389 passengers and 13 crew members, caught fire just minutes after taking off from Toronto Pearson International Airport. The event, which was caught on camera, occurred on June 5, adding to the series of safety concerns involving Boeing aircraft.
