Has Rahul Gandhi hinted at a difficulty about his constituency? My God, these people are

Rahul Gandhi, who secured victories in both Wayanad and Raebareli during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, expressed on Wednesday that he faces a dilemma in deciding which constituency to represent while relinquishing the other. He reassured that his decision would satisfy both constituencies.

At a rally in Kerala's Malappuram, Rahul Gandhi thanked the people of Wayanad for re-electing him to the Lok Sabha. "I look forward to seeing you soon," the 53-year-old stated. He acknowledged the challenge of choosing between Wayanad and Raebareli, promising that both would be content with his decision.

Taking a jab at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi remarked that unlike Modi, who he claimed was guided by divine intervention in favor of industrialists Adani and Ambani, he was guided by the needs of the poor and the people of Wayanad. "Unfortunately, I am not guided by God, I am a human being. Narendra Modi's 'parmatma' makes him take all decisions in favor of Ambani and Adani. I do not have this luxury. In fact, for me, it is much simpler. My God is the poor people of India, my God is the people of Wayanad. So, for me, it is easy. I just talk to the people, and my God tells me what to do," Gandhi said.

Supporters in Wayanad displayed "Don't leave us" posters, urging him to remain their representative. The posters read: "Dear big brother Rahul ji, please don't leave us... You are our best hope... But if you must, please ask sister Priyanka ji to take care of us".

This rally marked Rahul Gandhi's first appearance in Kerala after his substantial win in Wayanad for a second consecutive term. He emphasized that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were a fight to protect the Indian Constitution, where love and affection triumphed over hatred and humility over arrogance. Gandhi suggested that PM Modi must alter his approach, as the electorate has sent a clear message.

Labeling the new central government as "crippled," Rahul Gandhi was supported by Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) chief K Sudhakaran, who hinted that Rahul might vacate the Wayanad seat. "There is no point in feeling sad, there is no point in us feeling disappointed. Rahul Gandhi, who has to lead India, cannot stay in Wayanad. Everyone should understand that and should accept it. We should give all our well-wishes to Rahul Gandhi. If Rahul is going to become a leader in Indian politics, you and I should support him," Sudhakaran said in Wayanad on Friday.
