Sonakshi Sinha is gearing up to make her foray into the horror-comedy genre with 'Kakuda'. Produced by RSVP and helmed by acclaimed director Aditya Sarpotdar, the film promises to blend laughter with a spine-chilling twist. Joining Sonakshi in this unique venture are Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem. 'Kakuda' is slated for an upcoming premiere exclusively on ZEE5.
Set against the backdrop of Ratodi village in Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh, 'Kakuda' delves into a peculiar local ritual that has haunted the villagers for generations. Each household in Ratodi boasts two identical doors—one regular-sized and the other smaller. Every Tuesday at 7:15 pm sharp, it is imperative to open the smaller door, lest the wrath of Kakuda befall the head of the household.
Yet, lingering questions persist—Who is Kakuda? What drives his punitive actions against the village men? How can the villagers break free from this ancient curse? As the tagline ominously warns, "Ab Mard Khatre Me Hai!" (Now the men are in danger).
