"Kasoor": Urvashi Rautela and Aftab Shivdasani collaborate on a romantic-horror movie

On his birthday on June 25, Aftab Shivdasani made an exciting announcement, revealing his return with the sequel to 'Kasoor'. This time, the film stars Urvashi Rautela as the female lead. Aftab's 2001 movie 'Kasoor', which featured Lisa Ray, quietly became a hit, with its songs gaining immense popularity and retaining their iconic status over the years.

Already immersed in the production of 'Kasoor 2', Aftab Shivdasani recently shared glimpses from the film's sets, capturing his character's intense and serious demeanour reminiscent of the 2001 film.

Expressing gratitude on his special day, Aftab shared, "On this occasion of my birthday, as I add another year to my journey, my heartfelt request is for your love and blessings. Thank you for showering me with love throughout these years. I feel deeply blessed and fortunate to be working on my birthday, especially on a project that holds great significance for me. With love and gratitude. #kasoor (sic)."

Touted as a psychological horror tale, 'Kasoor' revolves around three central characters. Directed by Glen Barretto and penned by Mudassar Aziz, the film is presented by Bablu Aziz. Further casting details, including an additional male lead, are expected to be announced soon.

Producer Asif Shaikh confirmed the sequel's unique concept, describing it as a blend of musical romance and horror. He shared, "When Aftab heard the storyline, he was immediately captivated by its novelty. Audiences will witness Aftab Shivdasani in a role that showcases a new dimension on screen. It's a role that offers depth, and we are currently finalizing the female lead and another male lead to star alongside Aftab. Stay tuned for the upcoming announcements regarding these roles."

As of now, the official release date for the film remains undisclosed.
