No roof leak, according to an administrator at Ayodhya Ram Temple; water came from pipes for cables

Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee, dismissed allegations from the temple's chief priest regarding rainwater seepage from the sanctum sanctorum. Mishra clarified that the water observed was not leakage but rainwater that had come through pipes installed for electric wiring.

Mishra inspected the temple building personally and explained that the second floor is still under construction. He assured that once the roof of the second floor is completed, the rainwater issue will be resolved.

On Monday, Ram Janmabhoomi temple chief priest Acharya Satyendra Das raised concerns about the temple's construction. He claimed that after heavy showers on Saturday night, there was no proper drainage system for rainwater, leading to leakage in the sanctum sanctorum. Das urged temple authorities to address this issue promptly to prevent future problems.

Das described the incident as surprising, given the involvement of engineers from across the country in the temple's construction. He noted that the leakage occurred directly above the area where the priest sits in front of Ram Lalla's idol, a spot designated for VIP 'darshan'.

Mishra responded by stating that temporary measures have been taken to shield devotees from water and sunlight until the construction is complete. He also updated on the construction progress, noting that the work on the first floor is ongoing and expected to be finished by July. He expressed confidence that the temple construction will be completed by December.
