Pictures: Amitabh Bachchan assists a soon-to-be mom Deepika Padukone steps onto the platform

In a heartwarming and touching gesture, Amitabh Bachchan, who previously worked with Deepika Padukone in the film 'Piku' and is now collaborating with her again in 'Kalki 2898 AD', assisted her in getting on stage during the film's pre-release event in Mumbai. Deepika is currently expecting her first child.

At the press conference, Deepika, who is in her second trimester, proudly showcased her baby bump while wearing a black bodycon gown. As she prepared to get on stage, Amitabh Bachchan graciously extended his hand to help her up.

Adding to the light-hearted moments of the event, Prabhas also lent a helping hand by adjusting Deepika's chair. This act of kindness prompted Amitabh Bachchan to playfully tease Prabhas, which led to the audience erupting in cheers and applause.

Deepika Padukone portrays a pregnant woman named Sumathi in 'Kalki 2898 AD'. During the event, she shared her insights and experiences about shooting the film. She described it as "an incredible experience, a great learning experience. It was a completely new world, and I think we went through different phases, discovering what the film was about. It was an incredible experience, both at a personal and professional level."

'Kalki 2898 AD' is scheduled to hit theatres on June 27, 2024.
