PM Modi gave minister-designates a pep talk. Remain modest and never sacrifice morality



Narendra Modi, who took the oath as the Prime Minister for the third consecutive time, met with the ministers-designate and emphasized the high expectations people have from them, urging everyone to deliver on these expectations, according to sources.

During the meeting, Modi advised the incoming ministers to remain humble, as common people appreciate humility, and stressed the importance of maintaining probity and transparency. He highlighted that any work assigned should be done sincerely and with humility.

Modi also encouraged the ministers-designate to respect and dignify all Members of Parliament, regardless of their party affiliations, as they were elected by the people. Additionally, he emphasized the need for courtesy towards government employees and officers.

He advised them to work as a team foster a team spirit, and to ensure there is no compromise on probity and transparency. This meeting over tea follows a tradition Modi has upheld since 2014 before forming his Cabinet.

Senior BJP leaders such as Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Nirmala Sitharaman, and Mansukh Mandaviya attended the meeting at the Prime Minister's residence. Among the new faces likely to be inducted into the Council of Ministers were Manohar Lal Khattar, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and Ravneet Singh Bittu.
