Nepal's Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' extended his best wishes to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi following Modi's swearing-in for his third consecutive term. Prachanda expressed his optimism for the future of the longstanding friendship between Nepal and India.Â
After attending the oath-taking ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Prachanda had a meeting with Modi. During this meeting, they discussed ways to further enhance the multifaceted relations between the two nations. Prachanda expressed confidence that Nepal-India relations would prosper under Modi's leadership.Â
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Prachanda shared his congratulations and optimism for the future of Nepal-India relations:
> "Had a meeting with Shri Narendra Modi ji. I congratulated him on his third consecutive term as Prime Minister of India. We discussed ways to further enhance Nepal-India relations. I am confident that our multifaceted relations with India will prosper under his leadership."
Prachanda was among several world leaders who attended Modi's swearing-in ceremony, including the President of Sri Lanka, the Prime Minister of Bhutan, the President of the Maldives, the Prime Minister of Mauritius, the Vice President of the Seychelles, and the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.Â
The grand ceremony saw President Droupadi Murmu administering the oath of office to Narendra Modi and his council of ministers, marking the beginning of Modi's third term as India's Prime Minister.
