Wife is strangled by man over alleged affair; body is disposed of in his autorickshaw

The incident occurred on May 21, when a woman, staying at her parents' home in Murli Nagar due to a strained relationship with her husband, went missing. Following her disappearance, her parents lodged a complaint with the Nishatpura police.

The police initiated an investigation and arrested a man named Nadeem Uddin on Saturday, said sub-inspector MD Ahirwar, the investigation officer. During questioning, Nadeem admitted to killing his wife. He revealed that he suspected his wife was involved with another man.

On the day of the incident, Nadeem called his wife and asked her to meet him at Karond Crossing. When she arrived, he took her mobile phone and, after viewing a video on it, became enraged. In a fit of anger, he allegedly strangled her to death.

Nadeem then transported her body in his auto-rickshaw to a waste dump about 2 kilometers away. There, he poured kerosene on the body and set it on fire before burying the remains.

The police have recovered some unburnt body parts and sent them for examination. Nadeem has been charged under Indian Penal Code section 302, among other charges. The police are continuing their interrogation and further investigation into the case.
