On Saturday, Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, launched the 'Kejriwal ki guarantees' campaign in Haryana, marking the AAP's entry into the state's political landscape ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections, anticipated in October.
The guarantees unveiled include provisions for 24-hour free electricity supply, universal free medical treatment, high-quality free education for children, employment opportunities for unemployed youth, and monthly financial support of Rs 1,000 for women. This announcement, made alongside senior AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in Panchkula, marked the commencement of AAP's electoral campaign in Haryana.
Addressing the gathering, Sunita Kejriwal highlighted the transformative changes brought about by Arvind Kejriwal's government in Delhi and Punjab. She emphasized initiatives such as Mohalla clinics and the enhancement of government schools in Delhi, underscoring their impact on public welfare.
Reflecting on Arvind Kejriwal's journey from Hisar in Haryana to becoming the Chief Minister of Delhi, Sunita Kejriwal praised his achievements, describing them as nothing short of miraculous. She expressed her belief in his potential to achieve significant accomplishments, citing his rise from humble beginnings to founding a successful political party and leading Delhi as its Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP's national convenor, currently faces judicial custody related to allegations surrounding irregularities in Delhi's erstwhile excise policy. Despite this, Sunita Kejriwal continues to actively support AAP's campaigns across various states, including Delhi, Haryana, and Gujarat during the recent Lok Sabha elections.
The AAP has announced its intent to contest all 90 Assembly seats in Haryana, marking a significant stride in its bid to expand its political footprint beyond its traditional strongholds.
