At actor Sundeep Kishan's eatery, expired rice and hygienic infractions were discovered

Tollywood actor Sundeep Kishan's restaurant, Vivaha Bhojanambu in Secunderabad, was found violating several food safety and hygiene practices during an inspection by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

The inspection revealed the presence of 25 kg of expired Chittimutyalu rice and improperly labeled raw and semi-prepared foods stored in steel containers. Additionally, around 500 gm of grated coconut was discarded for containing synthetic food colors. The kitchen also had issues with water stagnation in the drains, and there was no water analysis report for the bubble water used in food preparation and served to customers. Furthermore, the medical fitness certificates for the food handlers were missing, although pest control records were up-to-date.

The authorities have instructed the restaurant to address these issues promptly to avoid further action and ensure the health and safety of their patrons.

Sundeep Kishan, listed as the managing partner of the restaurant along with others, launched Vivaha Bhojanambu a few years ago. The restaurant has branches in Jubilee Hills and AS Rao Nagar in Hyderabad, as well as in Tirupati, Ananthapur, and Chennai.

Recently, food safety authorities have found similar issues in some of Hyderabad's famous eateries, with expired or stale items and meals prepared in unhygienic conditions. The restaurants, however, claimed that the expired items found were set aside for disposal.
