Congress criticizes the PM over the RSS chief's "Bhagwan" statement, saying that Nagpur fired an Agni missile

Congress MP Jairam Ramesh criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, suggesting that recent remarks by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat were aimed at the PM. Bhagwat's speech in Jharkhand, where he spoke about the endless pursuit of progress and cautioned against viewing oneself as divine, sparked Ramesh's comments.

In his speech, Bhagwat emphasized continuous development and the need for individuals to always strive for more. Although Bhagwat did not mention PM Modi, Ramesh interpreted his words as a veiled criticism of Modi's past statement where he described himself as "sent by God."

Ramesh tweeted, "I am sure the self-anointed non-biological PM has got news of this latest Agni Missile, fired by Nagpur from Jharkhand and aimed at Lok Kalyan Marg," along with a video of Bhagwat's speech.

During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi reportedly stated in an interview that he believed he was sent by God after reflecting on his life experiences following his mother's passing.
