Following the court's decision, Imran Khan's PTI will become the largest party in Parliament

Certainly! The Supreme Court of Pakistan recently issued a significant ruling in favor of Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party regarding its eligibility for over 20 reserved seats in Parliament allocated for women and minorities. This decision comes after PTI-backed candidates participated as independents in the elections due to their party losing its official election symbol. These candidates later joined forces with the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), a political alliance, to form a coalition.

The legal dispute centered around the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) decision to deny PTI's share of reserved seats, which was contested by SIC in courts. The Supreme Court, led by a 13-member bench including Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, ruled that the ECP's actions were unconstitutional. The court declared that PTI remains a political entity entitled to participate in elections and field candidates, even without an election symbol.

As a result of this ruling, PTI is now required to submit a list of its candidates for reserved seats within 15 days. This decision is seen as a significant political victory for Imran Khan's party, potentially strengthening its position in Parliament and impacting the legislative landscape in Pakistan.
