Graffiti and vandalism at a Hindu temple in Edmonton, Canada

A Hindu temple in Edmonton, Canada, has been vandalized with Hinduphobic graffiti, sparking condemnation from the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) in Canada. The VHP denounced the act and urged Canadian authorities to take decisive action against the rising extremist ideologies fostering hate against the peaceful Hindu community in the country.

In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), the VHP Canada said, "VHP Canada strongly denounces Hinduphobic graffiti & vandalism at BAPS Mandir in Edmonton. We urge all levels of Government in Canada to act decisively against the growing extremist ideology propelling hate against the peace-loving Hindu community in our country."

This incident is part of a disturbing trend of temples being targeted with graffiti by extremists, notably by Khalistani separatists. Anti-India activities by Khalistan supporters have escalated following the death of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
