Director James Gunn recently shared a heartfelt post to mark the last day on the set of his upcoming release, *Superman*. He posted a picture with the cast of the film, expressing his deep gratitude for their creativity and commitment.
"And that’s a wrap. God bless our cast and crew whose commitment, creativity, and hard work have brought this project to life. I set out to make a movie about a good man in a world that isn’t always so much. And the goodness and kindness and love I’ve encountered daily on the set has inspired me and thrust me forward when I felt too spent to move on my own," Gunn wrote.
He shared more about his journey with the team, adding, "Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It has been an honor. The destination has been *Superman*, but the journey has been the toil and the laughter and the emotions and ideas and magic we’ve shared together on set — and for that, I am forever grateful."
The film stars Nicholas Hoult, David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nathan Fillion, among others. *Superman* is set to release in cinemas next summer.
The director went on to highlight the challenges and triumphs faced during the production, acknowledging the late nights, the early mornings, and the countless hours spent perfecting every scene. "This project has been a labor of love," he continued. "From the intricate special effects to the heartfelt performances, every single person involved has poured their heart and soul into making this film a reality. It's not just a movie; it's a testament to what can be achieved when a group of passionate individuals come together with a shared vision."
Gunn's post also reflected on the personal connections and friendships formed during the making of *Superman*. "We've laughed together, cried together, and supported each other through thick and thin. The camaraderie on set has been incredible, and I've made lifelong friends. This film will always hold a special place in my heart, not just for the story we've told but for the people who helped tell it."
He concluded his message with a note of optimism and excitement for the film's release. "I can't wait for audiences to see what we've created. I believe *Superman* will resonate with viewers on a deep level and bring a sense of hope and inspiration. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Your hard work and dedication mean the world to me, and I am eternally grateful."
