JP Nadda says, "Bandh, strikes in Valley now history," addressing BJP workers in Kashmir

Union Health Minister and BJP national president JP Nadda recently addressed an executive committee meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir BJP unit, highlighting significant developments in the region since the abrogation of Article 370. Nadda emphasized that the era of frequent bandhs, strikes, and protests in the Kashmir valley is now history, pointing to the construction of two AIIMS facilities in Jammu and Kashmir as a symbol of progress.

Nadda commended the increase in tourism, noting that two crore tourists visited Jammu and Kashmir last year, indicating improved conditions following the constitutional changes. He credited the Modi-led government for granting greater autonomy to forces deployed on the borders, resulting in a more peaceful environment and swift responses to border provocations.

Taking aim at the previous UPA government, Nadda criticized their governance, attributing rampant corruption to tarnishing the country's image internationally. He asserted that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, India has seen economic stability and growth despite challenges like COVID-19, citing praise from international rating agencies.

Paying tribute to BJP founder Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his birth anniversary, Nadda affirmed that the party has fulfilled Mukherjee's vision by scrapping Articles 370 and 35A in Jammu and Kashmir. He lauded BJP workers for securing electoral victories in the Jammu region and reiterated the party's commitment to core ideological promises, including the abrogation of Article 370 and the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Nadda concluded by highlighting the BJP's global outreach, noting its status as the world's largest political party with over 18 million members and visits by over 70 foreign envoys to BJP headquarters. He urged party functionaries to prepare for upcoming state assembly elections, underscoring the BJP's readiness to continue its governance agenda.
