Manish Sisodia gets court's nod to release funds for constituency's development



Jailed MLA and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been granted permission by the court to utilize funds for development initiatives in his Patparganj Assembly constituency, as per an official statement released on Saturday.

Currently detained in Tihar jail following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in March last year over alleged involvement in an excise policy scam, Sisodia sought court approval to allocate Rs 3 crore from the MLA fund. These funds are intended for various developmental projects spanning Khichripur village, East Vinod Nagar, Resettlement Colony Khichripur, Railway Colony, and Mandawali.

The proposed projects include enhancing open spaces in seven blocks of Khichripur, developing a park in Mayur Vihar Phase-2, constructing an entrance gate at Pocket A and Firni Mod Khichripur in Mayur Vihar Phase 2, erecting a boundary wall and grill at Pocket-4 in Mayur Vihar Phase 1, and beautifying Swati Park in West Vinod Nagar, the statement elaborated.
