Two are charged by an anti-terror agency for pushing an anti-Indian ideology

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has recently filed a detailed charge sheet against two individuals accused of promoting anti-India activities linked to ISIS. According to the NIA, the primary allegation is that these individuals were actively involved in a conspiracy to recruit and indoctrinate vulnerable youth with the aim of orchestrating terrorist attacks at sensitive locations across India.

One of the accused, Mohammed Zoheb Khan, was apprehended by the NIA in February following coordinated raids at several locations. The investigation has revealed that Khan, along with his associate Mohammed Shoeb Khan based in Libya, allegedly orchestrated a plan to promote ISIS' agenda in India. This included efforts to recruit individuals willing to pledge allegiance to ISIS's self-declared leader.

Furthermore, the charge sheet outlines that the accused were engaged in developing a website aimed at disseminating ISIS's extremist ideology. Their intention was to attract and radicalize youth not only in India but also globally, with plans to use the platform for recruitment purposes.

The NIA's investigation also uncovered that Mohammed Zoheb Khan had established a WhatsApp group with over 50 members from Aurangabad, Maharashtra, allegedly to radicalize and recruit them for ISIS-related activities. The accused reportedly intended to execute a series of terror attacks in India and had plans to flee to Afghanistan or Turkey after carrying out their nefarious agenda.

The charge sheet emphasizes the NIA's ongoing efforts to dismantle ISIS networks operating within India and highlights the serious nature of the threat posed by such radicalization and recruitment activities.
