A man in Andhra Pradesh was bitten by a cobra while attempting to play with the reptile in a drunken state. A widely shared video captured the man, identified as Nagaraju, slapping and handling the snake before it bit him. The incident occurred in the Kadiri area of Sri Satya Sai district when the cobra entered a college premises.
Despite the snake's efforts to escape into nearby bushes, Nagaraju retrieved it and continued to play with it on the road. Triggered by his actions, the snake eventually bit him. Nagaraju was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
A similar incident occurred in January last year in Tamil Nadu, where a man died after being bitten by a snake during New Year celebrations while also playing with the venomous snake in a drunken state.
